About us

We are the 6040 Bathurst tenant association, located in Toronto, Ontario. We were started with the goal of organizing our neighbours to fight against a recent AGI (Above Guideline Rent Increase) application by our landlord, Pinedale, that could raise our rents by an extra 3% in 2026, potentially totalling a 5.5% increase with the customary 2.5% increase allotted by the provincial government each year.

But we have bigger plans as well. The 6040 Bathurst tenant association is an advocacy group that protects each other against evictions, rent increases and maintenance issues. We aim to provide valuable information to help our neighbours learn their rights, provide support, build and maintain a platform to discuss the issues, and to exchange ideas and opinions.
